Family: grass species: Oryza sativa and Oryza glaberrima

Rice flour is a popular gluten free flour and provides us with a high source of fiber, protein, niacin, Vitamin B6, thiamine, zinc, potassium, magnesium, and manganese. Rice flour also provides us with an excellent source of energy, that is cholesterol free.

High source of Dietary Fiber

  • Foods high in dietary fiber are linked to the reduction of diverticular disease, colon, disease, type-2 diabetes, hypertension
  • The insoluble fiber provided by rice aids in the healthy removal of waste, eliminating toxins through bowel movements
  • High fiber foods also improve blood sugar levels
  • Rich in selenium which reduces the risk of cancer and heart attacks
